After years of selling our local farm’s produce at the farmers market, we noticed a trend. Often times, there would be leftover produce that no one would pick, and it was mainly the imperfect food, where the produce is a little oddly shaped. But with reducing food waste as a core value of our farm, we needed to figure out a way to give these items a purpose. This is when we created Food For Friends. We began partnering with local community kitchens to donate all of our imperfect produce to help feed our community.
